Recommended Posts

I cannot install SAS 3.9. I get 'failed due to fatal error' or similar wording. Downloaded a fresh copy from this site. Same thing. Have Vista Home Premium

Thanks

David, are you trying to install the pro or the free? I note that you have had difficulty previously. If you are trying to re-install the pro after the 15 day trial period has expired it will not re-install. The free version can be uninstalled and re-installed at will. :)

Clear your cache, reboot, re-download a free copy and then do the install.
I did all that same result:

First box

"Preparing to install"

Second box

"Installation ended prematurely because of an error"

My PC is clean as far as I know with several scans with other apps

It was being blocked by Spyware Terminator. After turning of ST it installed. Why does it need to reboot after scan, or is that only first scan

If items are detected that can't removed, we need to reboot to remove them.
