SAS flagged by Microsoft Defender AV as Trojan:Win32/Detplock

Recommended Posts

Every day when my legacy PC runs a scheduled scan, shortly after the scan starts (around 15 minutes) Windows Defender detects a file in 'C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\Temp' named 'AV-xxx-xx-xxx' as 'Trojan:Win32/Detplock'. This(these) file(s) seem to generate and delete itself only when SAS is doing a scan. I understand that SAS is NOT a virus, I have used it for many years and love it. Just curious as to what's up.

The OS is Windows 10 Home.

I have used cmd to reset Windows Defender, and this fixes the problem for a few days, but eventually again, Windows Defender will flag the file(s) above as Trojan:Win32/Detplock - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/malware-encyclopedia-description?Name=Trojan:Win32/Detplock

How do I fix this? I can provide a screenshot if needed, please let me know.

Thanks!
