Reg not scanned on a slave drive.

I'm assuming this is true of all scanners and not just SAS.

If a reg file is a line of code just like any other file, then what prohibits a slaved drive's reg from being scanned?

Are you referring to .REG files, or the actual registry? The actual registry is made up of several different "HIVES" (files). Windows maps/mounts them into the tree view of Regedit. Scanning salve hives is a little more difficult. We made add that option into a future version of SAS.
