bobzimm Posted August 5, 2015 Over the last week I have noticed the daily scan increased from 120 to 500 plus malware objects. All were tracking cookies. Is SuperAntispyware finding new ones or are the sites I visit increasing the number of cookies they send.I am on the same sites daily, Drudge NBC ABC CNN AOL and FB. The magnitude of the increase concerns me.
SAS Malware Research Posted August 5, 2015 Hello bobzimm, We have recently made some adjustments which allow SUPERAntiSpyware to detect and remove more cookies. The increase you are seeing is perfectly normal. SUPERAntiSpyware Malware Research
razordog Posted August 13, 2015 so does that mean SAS was ignoring them in the past? and why now did they become important enough to remove?
GuiltySpark Posted August 14, 2015 so does that mean SAS was ignoring them in the past? and why now did they become important enough to remove? They were probably ignored because it wasn't necessary to remove them, since the many changes in the net laws, privacy laws and general user paranoia (inevitable when things come to light), a decision was likely made to give us, the user, more piece of mind. But don't take that as gospel
razordog Posted August 25, 2015 i have found since SAS has started detecting more malware objects - my internet browser becomes slower and slower as the day goes on i run SAS at the end of the day and the browser seems to retrieve pages faster is this a possibility or is it a figment of my imagination (browser is most current ver. of chrome)
