(SOLVED) Scanning What does [INVALID] mean? in thumbs up/down results

I am scanning and getting results with Broadcom Corporation [iNVALID] in the thumbs up/down report. 

 

What does [iNVALID] mean?  Can't find it anywhere.

Hello ajnabi,

 

This means that the file in question was digitally signed by Broadcom Corporation but there is some sort of an issue with the certificate, probably due to not being a current signature (i.e. expired).

 

There is the possibility that someone malicious stole a digital signature and is using it to sign their malware, but I don't think this is the case.

 

I would first reinstall the software to make sure that all files you have are current, and it probably wouldn't hurt to bring this up to the software publisher.
