Does deleting Trojan from recyle bin give same results as deleting from SAS quarantine?

Recommended Posts

Hello. SAS reported a trojan. It quarantined it. The program then asked if i wanted to reboot. I said no and manually did it a few minutes later. My computer rebooted but the screen did not turn on and the media keys did not light up as they should only the power button was lighting up. held the power button for the system to shutdown the system booted up as normal. I was pretty sure it was a false postive(the program was a keygen someone put on my computer) so i just told it to recover from the quarantined. I later  decied to just put it in the recyleing bin and delete it from that.

My question is did deleting the program from the recycling bin just as effective as deleting from the SAS quarantine. Thanks.

Also does anyone know why the screen did not turn on when i rebooted it that time. Everything is working so I don't think i should be worried but  i odc about it......

When SAS removes a file, it takes a few extra steps assuming the malware is either running or protecting itself from removal. If you can delete the file normally, and it doesn't come back, that'll be just fine too.
