cjinca Posted April 22, 2014 I've had SAS Pro less than a year and don't recall this being an issue in the past. Scans take a long time and then the Removal takes a long time as well. Can you help me determine if problem is in my settings or scan logs or ?? Thanks, cj
GuiltySpark Posted April 22, 2014 Hi cj, how long is a long time? Do you have a report that gives a comparison between times of past scans?
cjinca Posted April 22, 2014 Here are examples of two recent scans. One 'clean' and one 'threats detected'. I glanced at a few other recent ones and they're all over and hour. The other question regards how long it takes to 'finish' clean up. Any help offered would be much appreciated. From what I can gather, I'm just dealing with adware but I don't like it that ads are continually inserted on web pages of sites/products I've recently visited. For example, today I was on a health forum website and it was literally covered with ads - all of which are from sites I've visited in past week to ten days - hotels from searches 2 weeks ago and others from last few days; vitamin site I made purchase with, to cable providers. And this is right after scan completed and adware was removed. Does it sound like something else is running that SAS isn't catching? GuiltySpark Posted April 23, 2014 Complete scan times seem fine. What were the files being removed? Were they tracking cookies? And were you online browsing at the time?
