mek1959 Posted September 4, 2013 Hello, I run a scan daily and interestingly, just about the same number of threats appear. Is there a process for SuperAntiSpyware permanently remove all of these threats? Thanks
GuiltySpark Posted September 4, 2013 Hi mek1959, Are these threats Tracking Cookies only ?
mek1959 Posted September 4, 2013 Yes, it appears as though they are. They're being "removed" right now, the scan just finished.
GuiltySpark Posted September 4, 2013 Tracking Cookies will always appear when you go online unless you have a set up to automatically remove them/stop them, although they are relatively harmless. Most websites have a cookie system of sorts.
mek1959 Posted September 4, 2013 Ahh...so they're really not a threat then. The software is simply removing them because it's designed that way. Also, I'm guessing then that the "real time" protector doesn't intercept these cookies, but just real spyware threats. Is that correct? Thanks for the help by the way! GuiltySpark Posted September 4, 2013 I think the real time protection is more for Spyware.
DooGie Posted September 4, 2013 mek1959 what browser do you use? If you use Firefox then use the Adblock Plus extension as this stops most tracking cookies ever getting into the cache.
WHooper Posted October 24, 2013 There is a very nice add-on for Fire Fox - "Do Not Track Me (DNTMe). It blocks all the tracking activity.
