The quarantining and removal process is not complete. This process cannot be canceled

I connected a friends infected SSD to my computer (win8 pro w/WMC x64) and I installed SAS Pro trial and it locked up part way through and found 108 issues of which 3 were serious.  I then quit the scanner and it took me back to a report and I said to remove threats.

 

It started quarantining everything and was removing the last 3 and SAS locked up.

 

I can't abort/quit and when I try to close the program from the task bar it reports:

 

"The quarantining and removal process is not complete.  This process cannot be canceled"

It turned out to be a bad SSD.  It randomly locks up no matter what.  Sent it in for RMA.
