elijah1757 Posted July 8, 2013 Trojan Horse Generic29.AHHS I have a PC running Vista OS and security software has identified a non-removable virus by the name of Trojan Horse Generic29.AHHS. I've done substantial research on this and there doesn't seem to be an easy fix. Is this something that my SUPERAntiSpyware should remove or can you assist in a manual removal. I've seen a program called ComboFix that can be used to remove deep-seated viruses but only with the help of a knowledgeable technician. Please advise. GuiltySpark Posted July 8, 2013 Hi elijah1757, If you want help with ComboFix then I suggest speaking to these malware guys : http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ when it comes to using ComboFix they are the best. In the meantime you could try this as a second opinion : https://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/eek/download/ (direct download zip file) follow the instructions (will need to restart your system before scan is run). Elmer Fud Posted July 8, 2013 Since AVG is known for False Positives, a virus check would be in order VirusTotal-----http://www.virustotal.com/ Click the Choose File button Navigate to the RecycleBin and locate the file in question. UPload to VirusTotal and it will check it. NOTE: If malicious in nature, RecycleBin can be simply emptied
