Phantasmatic Posted June 21, 2013 Hello, I am 70% sure that "Trojan.Agent/Gen-Sefnit" is a false positive, simply because Norton nor McAfee detected this trojan. If anybody is familiar with the file, "C:\PROGRAMDATA\INSTALLMATE\{DE530664-B382-4C36-AEDD-FBA005BO2492}\_SETUP.DLL" (exclude the quotation marks), I would greatly appreciate it. GuiltySpark Posted June 22, 2013 Hi phantasmic, Please use the in built False Positive reporter so the malware team can check it out.
Phantasmatic Posted June 22, 2013 I have done this Monday, and, I hope you don't take offense to any of this, but I haven't gotten a response yet. The false positives page said it would take 24-48 hours, but it has been four days and I haven't had a response. Should I wait longer or do something else? Thank you for your time. GuiltySpark Posted June 22, 2013 You could first upload that file to VirusTotal and see what the results suggest, if all is well there then you could fill out a csr ticket select None at the bottom and explain the nature of your problem and you will be contacted by a member of customer support. But I would do the VT upload first as a backup.
