jayfo Posted March 10, 2013 Hello, I'm running the free version for the first time. The results of a complete scan included some PUPs and tracking cookies, and 12 items identified as "critical threats". But, unlike the PUPs and cookies, there is no option to expand or collapse results for critical threats, so I can't view the 12 individual items. When I view the scan log, only the PUPs and cookies are listed. not the critical threats. I want to know what these "critical threats" are before I delete them. Is there a way to view them? Thanks. GuiltySpark Posted March 10, 2013 Hi jayfo, Can you take an image of the scan and post it here please as there should be a crosshair box available. Thanks.
jayfo Posted March 10, 2013 Here it is. I am not seeing the crosshair box for this category.
GuiltySpark Posted March 10, 2013 The critical threats are the PUPs you have 16 in total and 4 of these are are the PUPs themselves, this leaves 12 extra. Open up the PUP installer crosshair and you should see a difference between the complete set of files 4 of one and 12 of another =
jayfo Posted March 10, 2013 Thanks, GuiltySpark. Aha - it wasn't clear to me that it was grouping those two categories together...I should have done the math. I appreciate the quick response.
GuiltySpark Posted March 10, 2013 No worries It is strange though that the Critical Threat heading didn't have a Crosshair box to select similar to regedit, as many people get confused and think the Tracking cookies are a/the major threat when they're not.
