Did you set the time zone in your profile?

The time shown on the forums is referenced to GMT not Oregon. US Central Standard Time (CST) is 6 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-6)

A little confused and less than bright at this moment.

Would the setting for Eastern time be (-6 GMT) and for Daylight savings tiime be (-5 GMT) ?

What would be the correct settings for EDT and EST?

Thanks very much!

Ooops

Even screwed my question up,

What I meant to ask was (-8 GMT) EST and (-7GMT) !

I'm lost.

Thanks again :o

OK just tested it and (-5) seems to work! :)

Think I figured it out on my own (I think!)

It appears that (-6 GMT) would be the setting for EST.

Sheesh!

Could you let me know if I'm correct?

Sorry about all the posts!

@infosponge: your time setting (GMT -5) is correct.

Time settings can be quite confusing and it's easy to make a mistake. At least you don't feel embarrassed to ask. Alwasy a sign of a smart person! :)

BTW, I noticed in control panel under Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options, the GMT for your time zone is shown.

This eliminates the guess work! :)
