BSOD When running Complete Scan

Recommended Posts

I have done all that I can think of to remedy the situation safely. But to no avail. Some have been removed in safe mode and normal mode quick scan and online scans. However, everytime I go to do a full scan or critical scan. I get the BSOD. It happens when it gets to the ControlSet2/Enum directory. It can easily be a registry issue and/or virus/malware. Any ideas? System is Windows XP Home Edition.

You might want to try running a full "Chkdsk" on the hard drive. Drive corruption and bad/unreadable sectors can cause errors like you are experiencing. I would also recommend testing your memory. Memory issues can mimic a drive issue.
