Gregory Petras Posted February 5, 2012 I have a Trojan that SAS can't seem to remove. I think it slipped yesterday and has turned some programs such as Windows Defender. I've tried Scanning several times, updating several times, trying to use an earlier restore point, which has failed. Now the SAS picks it up and notifies me, but I can't get rid of the one I already have. Any help I would appreciate. Thanks, Greg

Gregory Petras Posted February 5, 2012 Isn't SAS an antivirus program?
GuiltySpark Posted February 5, 2012 No SAS is an Anti Spyware scanner AVs look for different things, Win Defender is also a scanner not an AV. I would advise installing MSE (microsoft security esentials) : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials Update and Run Full scan AVs tend to look more for Worms, scanners do not always do this.
