freewarebb Posted January 25, 2012 Not sure how to verify this, but I noticed on a recent full scan using SAS, "c:\SG Interactive\Project Blackout\UNINST.EXE" contains Trojan.Agent/Gen-StartPage ... I'm not sure if this is the real deal of a false positive. As far as I know, it's only SAS which is detecting this and if this is somehow a virus which has made it's way into this installer, it certainly would be a rather massive shakedown for this developer. Any advice on how to determine the validy of this would be appreciated. Cheers Marko
SASJoe Posted February 2, 2012 Hi Marko, The only way for us to verify whether or not the file is being falsely detected is for us to receive a copy. To do so, please file a False Positive report by clicking on the 'False Positive' button following a scan (while still on the results screen). This sends us all the relevant info needed to make the judgement, and if it is a FP we will of course fix the rule so that it no longer gets triggered for the non-malicious item. Thanks so much for your help.

elusaveng Posted February 17, 2012 According to https://www.superant...efinitions.html , 10 days after the verdict was announced? That Gen-StartPage is not a hacking tool, but a true Trojan pony ?
freewarebb Posted February 17, 2012 Can this be confirmed, is there an issue with this installer?. If it is, SAS have quite possibly uncovered a major issue with what is a major game played by millions across the globe - I still have my reservations if I'm honest although some form of confirmation is needed here
elusaveng Posted February 17, 2012 Excuse me, I hastened to make a panic. It's really hacking keygen (from Tortuga island ), and Kaspersky Internet Security said that more than 10,000 its users rely on this program and the file is known for a long time...
