Removed Vista Virus Now Icons dont work-help for a chick please

I was able remove the horrible Vista virus. But now, none of my desktop icons work!!!! Cant into my Mozilla by clicking the icon or Internet Explorer either. yikes. . I tried to delete Mozilla (for example) and reload it as an Administrator, but the computer tell me I don't have the rights to do that.

The only way I can get into the Internet is thru my Work site, which thankfully was not corrupted.

Cant get into Word Excel or Anything from desktop icons. Tried dragging new ones over after doing Start, Programs, but that does not work either.

Help a chick out please.

I just updated Spyware and ran it again. Also restarted, still stuck. come on guys I bet one of you super smart cuties can help me out.
