ButchN Posted April 22, 2007 I bought SUPERAntiSpyware Professional with LIFETIME updates. I also use 2 other free anti spy programs (a good PC user will always 2-3 as no program "gets them all") but I specifically bought SUPERAntispyware for its real time protection since it was the only program boasting this feature, & this program also picked up more "threats" than other programs. I also figured that it'd save me from manually scanning, but nope, after a few days I saw nothing blocked. So I purposely went to a few questionable sites then looked for blocked items. I saw nothing blocked or deleted so when I did a manual scan, 16 instances came up! So what's up with "real time" protection? Why did it not work? Oh, sorry my 1st post is about the program not working like I think it should, unless I misunderstand real time & what it does & what it's supposed to do. Thanks. BTW, here's my log on what I just wrote: SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log Generated 04/21/2007 at 11:31 PM Application Version : 3.6.1000 Core Rules Database Version : 3222 Trace Rules Database Version: 1233 Scan type : Quick Scan Total scan Time : 00:24:40 Memory items scanned : 481 Memory threats detected : 0 Registry items scanned : 879 Registry threats detected : 0 File items scanned : 46780 File threats detected : 16 Adware.Tracking Cookie C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@anat.tacoda[1].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@anad.tacoda[2].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@ads.adbrite[1].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@siemens.112.2o7[1].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@tacoda[1].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@adopt.specificclick[2].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@ads.pointroll[2].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@adbrite[2].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@nextag[2].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@msnportal.112.2o7[1].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@specificclick[1].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@clicktracks.newcitymedia[2].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@2o7[2].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@ad.yieldmanager[1].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@adopt.euroclick[1].txt C:\Users\ButchN\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies\butchn@cz7.clickzs[2].txt
