ezekial52787 Posted October 17, 2011 I have downloaded SASP to an infected computer and it does not even load. When opening the program immediately after download, it displays "please update definitions" now it does not even show that. What can I do? hey ^s^, trying loading windows in safe mode with networking, this may allow SaSP to load and update, then run a scan with SaSP in safe mode and hopefully it will be able to remove whatever infection exists! if this down not work try download the AVG rescue CD, you can find it here: http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-rescue-cd#tba3 there is also an explanation on how to burn the rescue CD to a CD or flash memory stick, as well as explanations/videos on how to use the rescue CD, once the rescue CD is created you must boot the computer from it, update it, and scan with it, this will allow you to scan the system before the malware/virus is even able to load. ^s^ Posted October 20, 2011 I tried to use the rescue CD, but when I load the boot menu I get +usb drive option. I try to load the cd off my usb and it says "operating system not detected". I know I completed the rescue cd operation correctly, because avg rescue cd told me "Drive :F is now bootable". What should I do?

What should I do? hello again ^s^, sorry to hear you are having problems with the rescue CD and booting it from a flash drive, perhaps you could try using a burnable discc instead? or since you are having problems I highly suggest posting on the AVG facebook wall, or creating a topic on the AVG tech support forums, myself and many others can better assist you there. another thing, Also you could try running malwarebytes in safe mode and see if that helps. here is the AVG fb page and AVG forums: https://www.facebook.com/avgfree http://forums.avg.com/us-en/avg-forums?sec=theme&act=show&id=183 hope this helps!
