Mccfuzz Posted August 11, 2011 Hi Does any one know why after every software update SAS fails. The icon disappears from the task bar and although it's still listed in 'programs' when I try to start it from here it tells me it can't be found. I'm using Win2k pro if that's relevant. Many thanks....Mccfuzz
Seth Posted August 11, 2011 There's a few possibilities as to why that's happening, but to begin I suggest a clean install of the new Version 5. Note your product key and run the uninstall assistant: https://www.superantispyware.com/supportfaqdisplay.html?faq=47 After a restart, re-install from: https://www.superantispyware.com/index.html
Mccfuzz Posted August 11, 2011 Hi Thanks for the reply but thats how I've been getting round the problem with past updates. I was just wondering why it won't update as intended as the above solution is a little tiresome. Don't know if it matters but i'm using the free version....? Seth Posted August 11, 2011 No, it doesn't matter if you're using the free version. I'm wondering if your issue is a compatabilty problem with SAS and Win 2000. Have a look here: https://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/5019-sascoreexe-entry-point-not-found-the-procedure-entry-point-wtsgetactiveconsolesessionid-could-not-be-located-in-the-dynamic-link-library-kernel32/page__p__22795__hl__win2000__fromsearch__1#entry22795 Did this occur with V4 and are you running V5.0.1108?
