alhazred Posted August 5, 2011 Hi, Should Terminate memory threats before quarantining be checked? I would have thought all memory threats would need to be terminated before quarantining. What is the difference between checked and unchecked and which is the safest option to have?
SAS_Dave Posted August 5, 2011 Hi, Should Terminate memory threats before quarantining be checked? I would have thought all memory threats would need to be terminated before quarantining. What is the difference between checked and unchecked and which is the safest option to have? In many cases, removing the file on disk and rebooting will be enough. Sometimes terminating the memory process will prevent it from re-creating the file before rebooting, but in other cases it may cause the system to become unstable and the removal cannot complete. It's one of those options that you can try to use if the removal didn't work correctly, but is best to leave disabled for normal use.
