Tooltip Balloon Option ?

Recommended Posts

How do you disable the Tooltip Balloon that shows when SAS completes update?

I was told that there will be a option to disable the tooltip balloon on the new release of SAS.

I'm running SAS Pro 5.0.1108 and can't find the option.

Hello ProTruck

Are you talking about this

*see image, I have never seen a way to dismantle that

or any discussion on that matter?

Thank you Nick. :)

That's interesting, why do I see it and you don't? I'll try to catch a screen shot when it updates. :)

The notification is only shown when the update UI is hidden (i.e. new definitions have been downloaded due to a scheduled update check or an update check on startup). Are you getting the notification in another scenario?

** "Do not show the UI while performing this task"

When checked: Will not show UI but will popup Balloon.

When unchecked: Will show UI, then UI will disappear then Balloon will popup.

Get Balloon popup with or without checking above **

I was mistaken about the UI hide/show also controlling the balloon notification. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. There will be an option in the Updates tab within Preferences to disable the balloon on the next update.

Yeah, it's really nice to leave this (new) option to the user; well done & thanks to the SAS developers ! :)

I have SAS V5.0.1116 Professional on Windows 7 SP1 x86 and x64 Professional. There is no selectable option on the Preferences>Update tab to select/deselect "Tooltip Balloon Update Notification".

The new available option is :"Notify me when definition updates have been downloaded" ... <_<
