Strange icon in system tray.

I was wondering if anybody could help me with a icon thats appeared in my system tray. This icon isnt normaly there and I cant find what it is, i have adware on my computer that i cant seem to remove so i was wondering if this could be related to it. Thankyou in advance.

Hover your pointer over that icon and it should identify it. Or, try right clicking on it to see what other info you can get.

Also, something is wrong with your AVG, and it's probably that it can't update.

Download the SAS Portable scanner, then run and update it from Safe Mode With Networking:

I have tried to hover over it but it just tells me "today 5:36pm" Right clicking doesnt do anything. AVG is just on a trail at the moment and its just ran out so i need to buy a new one.

Will try the SAS thing now, and ill get back to you with the results :)

Ok.

Try double clicking that icon and see if it opens a program.

You could also open Task Manager and check for unusual processes. One of those processes will be associated with that icon.

Another option is to check the startup entries via MSCONFIG.

Just done the SAS scan, found 632 infections, and the icon has gone. Thankyou :)
