Back-up antispyware

Recommended Posts

Hello guys.

After installing SUPERAntiSpyware, I'm considering installing a back-up antispyware.

I was thinking about either Malwarebytes or Spybot - Search & Destroy.

Which of the above ones would you recommend?

Or is any other free antispyware you believe is good, as a secondary?

Welcome to the SAS forum Trib.

IMO, Spybot is old technology and the Tea Timer component can actually prevent more reputable antimalware programs from removing infections. Any experienced tech will tell you that MB and SAS are far superior at finding and removing malware.

Thanks for your advice Seth.

By the way, are SAS and MB compactible with Avira?

And do you recommend Avira or Avast (both free versions)?

I checked some sites and Avira seemed the most effective of the both but what do I know

You're welcome.

Avast and Avira are similar.

You shouldn't have any issues with running either along with SAS or MB.
