Hello

Please download and run the following program to your desktop:

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/unhide.exe

Next download OTL:

http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe

Double-click OTL.exe to run it and click Quick scan.

When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt.

Copy them for my rewiew

The fake virus alert that infected your computer probably just hid all your start menu and data etc.

Provided that your computer has been cleaned of the XP Security Centre, you should be able to reinstate your Start menu & data etc by downloading and running unhide.exe from this link
