Just a quick question, when I remove/delete Tracking Cookies on the previous versions, I would also removed them from Quarantine, but in this new version (v5), the Tracking Cookies do not appear in Quarantine after I remove them after a scan.

Is this normal for v5? Are the Tracking Cookies removed/deleted automatically from quarantine?

Thanks

PS: Great new look for v5.

Hi Quicksand.

The cookies should appear in the Quarantined list.

1) What version of Windows do you run, and is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

2) Do the cookies appear in the scan log?

3) Have you been able to duplicate the issue?

Thanks for your reply Seth,

I have W7 64 bit

Yes, the cookies do appear in the scan log

I've been using the pre release for about 2 weeks now, and each time after a scan, tracking cookies do dot end up in Quarantine.

I am using SAS free version. Also this link does not work: http://www.superanti...easelimited.php I get a Server Not Found page

Also, do I need to remove SAS from the Add/Remove section from the Control Panel first before using the uninstall link?

No, just use the 64 bit uninstaller and restart the computer when the uninstall is complete.

Try this V5 link:

I have uninstalled SAS using the link provided (64bit), rebooted, installed it again, did a full scan. 2 cookies were removed and Quarantine, But in Manage Quarantine, those cookies were not there. Just wondering if cookies are not sent to Quarantine anymore in this version?

The tracking cookies should be there.

Does anything show up in the quarantined list?

UPDATE:

I unchecked the box in Preferences > Integrate With Vista Security Group prior to a scan, and now Tracking Cookies do appear in Manage Quarantine. :-)

Tried this and Tracking Cookies don't appear in quarantine whatever settings I choose.

Running SAS 5.0.1078 on Windows 7 x64.

However why should tracking cookies need to be quarantined? Basically they are just useless text files.

A few minutes ago i have got an update to 5.0.1084.

It is working just fine.

I like the new look of it.
