In fact, V4.9 was a pre-release test version series way back when SAS was being converted to 64-bit. You should uninstall it via the SAS Uninstaller Assistant from the link below and then either install the latest V4.51.1000 or the V5 pre-release version. https://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/1344-superantispyware-uninstallation-assistant/ JFI, the V5.0.1078 pre-release runs great on Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) and the new GUI is most intuitive and easy to use. On 64-bit systems, SAS installs under C:\Program Files instead of C:\Program Files (x86). If you have a SuperAntiSpyware folder under C:\Programs Files (x86), it is a left over and can be deleted. This applies to both the latest V4 series and V5 pre-releases.

The reason I ask is that the faulting module RPCRT4.dll on my Windows 7 SP1 x64 Professional is version 6.1.7601.17514 and I am not able to reproduce the abort you are experiencing.
