security center does not recognize SASWPRO

Recommended Posts

I am using Windows 7 starter on an ASUS netbook. How can get the security center to see and recognize SASWPRO?

If windows does not see it or recognize SASWPRO, does this mean that the real time setting is not functioning?

One person (at another forum) told me that it is not recognized because it is not a recognized antivirus program, it is something different....only adware, malware, and spyware, but not all the other badboy viruses and trojans, etc.

So what is up?

Thanks.

I think it has not been approved by Microsoft.SAS is NOT an antivirusprogram it´s an antispywareprogram hence the name :-)

Exactly correct! We are in the process of being verified. Also as 'kikkkasss' pointed out; SUPERAntiSpyware is an AntiMalware/AntiSpyware program, not an antiviral program.

We target spyware, adware, worms, trojan horses, rootkits, and crimeware, a focus that allows us to respond quickly to the ever-growing groups of hostile software we address, with new definitions released multiple times a day, and concentrate on the technology that targets the most common threats in the wild. There are a lot of things that are often called viruses (many trojans, worms, and so on) that SUPERAntiSpyware will remove, but it won't remove many true viruses or boot-sector viruses.

That has nothing to do with it not being an antivirus, it recognize firewall, antivirus & antispyware program, windows defender is recognize along with some other antispyware programs, it just haven't been verified.
