eaglesnest888 Posted January 19, 2011 Recently my computer has become infected. I do not from where. Superantispyware only runs a partial scan before a problem occurs and shuts down. I am unable to save anything. If I try to save, my browser encounters a problem and must shut down. Also I tried to run a restore point but the system says that not restore points have been established. Can anybody help?
Seth Posted January 19, 2011 Hello. Try the SAS portable from Safe Mode: https://www.superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html
eaglesnest888 Posted January 20, 2011 Thank you. I was able to run the portable app from safe mode. I ran it twice and it hung on the same program. So I uninstalled it. Then I ran another scan. Unfortunetly, nothing was found and the system did not improve.
Seth Posted January 20, 2011 Does the system show any visible signs of infection? For example, any fake messages saying the system is infected, or browser re-directs? What version of Windows do you run, and is it 32 or 64 bit? For IE, try this reset: Go into Tools-->Advanced, then click on "Restore Advanced Settings" followed by "Reset". Click Apply-->Ok, close IE, then open it. Can you download now?
