Seth Posted September 16, 2010 Hi Diff. Can you update manually? Are you using the latest version of SAS? If the problem continues, please see here: https://forums.superantispyware.com/index.php?/topic/4173-pre-release-v4431000-available-11-sept-10/page__p__18611__fromsearch__1#entry18611
siliconman01 Posted September 16, 2010 SAS won't check for definitions updates automatically before starting a scan. Can anyone tell me why? Win 7 64 bit version. I have it checked to do so. Are you referring to the option on Preferences>General and Startup tab which is "Check for updates before scanning on startup"? If so, that works only if "Start a Quick Scan", "Start a Complete System Scan" or "Start a Custom Scan" is selected under Start-Up Scanning. These options automatically start a scan when SAS itself is started. There is no "Check for update" option on the Preferences>Updates tab that allows users to obtain an update check when manually starting a scan or when a scheduled scan starts. I wish there were such an option. Perhaps it will be in V5.0.
