when to perform a repair

Recommended Posts

In the hlep dialogue, it says to use repair only when smoething is borken since a repair can't be undone. I have a number of repairs noted on my repair tab. They start with words like: enable, remove, repair, reset. how do I know which ones should be done?

Do not be mislead on the purpose of the items in the Repair tab. You only use this tab is something is broken on your computer. Then you select the repair item that pretains to whatever appears to be broken on your system.

If, for example, you are unable to access your Control Panel, you would select the repair item "Enable Windows Control Panel". If you are uncertain as to what repair tool to run, you should post back here. State what you are attempting to repair and what the symptoms are that makes you think it is broken.
