silvermount Posted June 22, 2010 Hello, Haven't been able to run SAS for a while, wouldn't launch, took a long time, launched then closed, finally took the time to reinstall it. Ran a scan and along with the ususal tracking cookies, got 2 disabled task manager in the registry. However, the quarantine box was not checked as it is with tracking cookies. Is it safe to quarantine this? Disabled.TaskManager HKU\.DEFAULT\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\POLICIES\SYSTEM#DISABLETASKMGR HKU\S-1-5-18\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\POLICIES\SYSTEM#DISABLETASKMGR Thanks
Seth Posted June 22, 2010 Welcome to the SAS forum Silvermount. I understand it's a little misleading, but SAS just simply alters the keys to enable Task Manager.
SUPERAntiSpy Posted June 22, 2010 We have those set that way in case admins have disabled the task manager on purpose.
