Install 4.38.0.1004 on Win 7 64-bit

Recommended Posts

I started installing the new version (4.38.0.1004) on my Win 7 64-bit system. I noticed that the default folder is "C:\Program Files" which is the 64-bit Program Files folder. I thought the new version was a "hybrid" 32/64 bit. Is this installation folder correct or should it be the "(x86)" folder, or does it not make a difference?

Thanks

The installer is what is "hybrid" which allows the same installer to be used on a 32-bit system or a 64-bit system. The actual program, depending on what system you install it on (in your case 64-bit), will be the same as the system it's installed on. You have a 64-bit system so the installer installs the 64-bit application and files to your machine and they should go in the "C:\Program Files" directory like you are seeing.
