jayt Posted November 13, 2009 I have a copy of SAS Professional (lifetime subscription) on two different computers running WinXP Home. When I get a pop up saying that an updated version is available all I have to do is click on the link, saying "install now" and it gets installed. I also have a copy of SAS Professional running on my Vista machine. When an updated version becomes available, I get the same pop up notification. However, when I click on the link to install in Vista, I am told that I have insufficient privilege to run the update. I am the administrator, but I still get this reply. The only work around that I have found is to go to the SAS homepage, download a new copy of SAS, uninstall the old one on my pc and install the new version. Is there any way I can update Vista the same way I update XP?

jgregmason1 Posted November 13, 2009 I am downloading a first time on another computer. But each time the download finishes the file disappears. I have turned firewalls off. What else could be causing this?
