Scanning in Safe mode

Recommended Posts

:D Hello

2 questions:

:?: Should I run SAS in safe mode,I have the full version

:?: What is the reason to run scans in safe mode

Thank you

If you have a severe infection, sometimes it is necessary to scan in safe mode as in safe mode most start-up entries won't load and some kernel drivers / services won't load either - this prevents some infectiosn from running in Safe Mode, thus allowing easier detection and removal. Most infections we see today, add their driver entries to the Safe Boot keys and use WinLogon Notify handlers, so they do get loaded in Safe Mode :(

Well that explains it. Amazing that they don't stop and will find ways to run it.

Are they somehow profiting from this. I mean other than the ones that try to sell a program.
