Help me please

Recommended Posts

I downloaded SAS and it told me that I had 91 malwares on my computer. I tried to remove them, the computer crashed, and now neither malwarebytes nor SAS will open, and if I try to open them, it tells me that "windows cannot open the specified device, path, or file. You may not have access to open the system." I am the only user, I am therefore the administrator, I have access to every system. Furthermore, if I try and run a scan using mcafee, it tells me that it cannot due to some unspecified "Error". Please help.

There is some malware out there that is adjusting the security on the executables of scanners to prevent them from running. You can use our online safe scan tool to continue scanning your PC in the case of the regular installation being locked out.

Open a support ticket if SAS isn't removing the infection - unfortunately, once the security settings on the scanner applications has been trashed, you will need to manually reset them. The latest version of our RUNSAS tool will detect bad security on the SUPERAntiSpyware.exe file, and run a Windows tool to reset it. Here's the link: https://www.superantispyware.com/downloads/RUNSAS.EXE
