siliconman01 Posted September 18, 2009 This is because SAS is not yet fully x64 compatible. Compatibility development is in progress.

JulianH Posted September 18, 2009 Hi, I'm having exactly the same problems with Vista Ultimate 32bit. It always comes back to say it needs Administrator access, but still says exactly the same when I use my Admin account access. There must be a way around this! SAS_Dave Posted September 18, 2009 If you close SAS completely (right-click the system tray bug and select Exit), then right-click on the shortcut in your Start Menu or Desktop and select Run As Administrator. 64-bit Windows will not allow an application to write to the Program Files folder unless you are running as an administrator. SAS operates as a limited user by default if you have UAC turned on, otherwise it would not open at startup. In a future release of SAS, we will be using a service to update - this will eliminate the problem on 64-bit Windows.
