Daveski17 Posted September 12, 2009 I ran SAS & it found no tracking cookies! I have never known this before. Mind you I have just had (today) a major McAfee update & I ran the quick scan on that first. SAS normally found quite a few tracking cookies after a month or so between full scans. Does it ignore them now?
Insomnai Posted September 12, 2009 No SAS still finds tracking cookies on all the machines I've run it on. A lot of the time this is due to running tools that delete internet history etc prior to running SAS... I wouldn't worry about it too much Regards Insomnai
Daveski17 Posted September 12, 2009 OK, thanks. I have been using Opera as my default browser as well & I think that can waste tracking cookies when you close the browser.
bilvihur Posted September 13, 2009 SAS doesn't detect FireFox or Chrome tracking cookies. I'll bet the same for Opera. What say you, SAS?
Daveski17 Posted September 14, 2009 Hmmmm... that's interesting if it's true. I very rarely use IE 8 at all. My main browsers are Opera 10 & SRWare Iron. I use SeaMonkey 2.0 beta as well sometimes.
bilvihur Posted September 15, 2009 See viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3296&p=17106&hilit=tracking+cookies#p17146. I can't swear to Opera.
