Big33Guns Posted September 11, 2009 Hi everyone. I have had superantispyware for a few years now. The last couple of weeks have been strange. I went to access it to run a scan and a windows message came up stating that it cannot access the specified file because I don't have appropiate permissions to access the file. Sometimes rebooting seemed to temporarily fix the problem, but now it doesn't. Today I completely uninstalled and went to reinstall and am getting this error message: "Error 1321. Windows Installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file." What kind of bug do I have? My Anti-Virus is Avira Premium and it keeps blocking the Malware HEUR/HTML every time I go to my e-mails. I am at a loss. Help if you can. UPDATE: I just ran Norman Malware cleaner and it detected W32/Renos.XUC. How can I get rid of this? I know its location.
extramile Posted September 25, 2009 Same thing happened to a buddy pc. I will not let you do a sys restore also but it makes the program work until it just shuts off. Same thing happens when using malwarebytes and spybot. might work 1 time then a virus disables it somehow. Seems like it messes with alot of permissions also. siliconman01 Posted September 25, 2009 You might try going to the link below and run the new SuperAntispyware online scanner and let it quarantine what it finds. https://www.superantispyware.com/onlinescan.html
