robinb9 Posted July 30, 2009 I did the upgrade to the new version on 20 computers, xp home/pro and vista none asked for a reboot but i did it anyway once i rebooted the machines i saw this in event viewer The SASDIFSV service failed to start due to the following error: Cannot create a file when that file already exists. I rebooted again and this was not there shouldn't the program ask for a reboot? when you reboot the error msg is gone those who are not savy would not know to reboot and if they do not shut off their computers then the program doesn't reflush itself robin
nighthawkext Posted August 4, 2009 Good catch Robin. The SASDIFSV.SYS file is a startup only service. There is no need to reboot the machine due to the fact that this service will not be used until the machine is rebooted and therefore be the correct version.
