rayman Posted June 24, 2009 Hi, I am new to Superantispyware and find it well worth the money, but I do not know why on every scan I get 5 (at least) instances of Rootkit.Agent/Gen-GXServ show up. Each time I deal with them by quarantine and each new scan there they are again. Any available explanation? Thanks. Ray.
siliconman01 Posted June 24, 2009 rayman, Reboot your computer into SAFE MODE and perform a complete scan with SAS. Let it quarantine all found items. Then boot back into Normal Mode. Scan again with SAS. Are the rootkit items still present? If so, you should submit a support request/ticket to the SAS gurus. https://www.superantispyware.com/precreateticket.html
rayman Posted June 24, 2009 Thank you both. I ran full scan in safe mode and no threats were found. Yes, sas was up to date. After reboot to normal mode the items were back. I will make a report and post back. Thank you again, Ray.
