certifiedtek Posted April 8, 2009 Is it best to run in safe mode to get rid of more malware in particular rootkits. Thankyou
siliconman01 Posted April 8, 2009 If you suspect a significant infection(s) or if you encounter an infection that cannot be removed while running in Normal Mode, then booting into Safe Mode is a good maneuver. Having to scan in Safe Mode is most likely a rare requirement. Of course, if you are in the business of repairing a computer, then running scans in SAFE MODE could just be SOP because the computer is not being used for anything else.
