robinb9 Posted January 14, 2009 i am beta testing windows 7 on virtual pc 2007 and before i try to install it- will the free work? if not what about the pre-release you have out now? robin
el_giacomo Posted January 14, 2009 SAS appears to work on the 64-bit version of Win7 (well, it does on my brother's PC running 64-bit). However, it does not appear to work on the 32-bit versions, even if installed under Vista or XP compatibility modes. Most folks get blue screens, I just get a hard lockup every time I try. There are a few other threads here regarding SAS & Win7, and it looks like it will definitely be working once Win7 is closer to release.
Pandato Posted January 14, 2009 When Windows 7 is officially released next year, SAS will be ready for it.
robinb9 Posted January 14, 2009 awww, thats not good, i wanted to keep windows 7 safer than just using WD. Avg 8.0 free works fine on windows 7 beta. robin

robinb9 Posted January 16, 2009 i know mbam works- i put it on there because i saw in many posts on the technet forum that it will not work on the 32bit and yes i did play with the uac- which btw is much better than the uac in vista now so superantispyware should work too robin
