jgt1942 Posted December 20, 2008 Last night I installed on my laptop and kicked off a scan after downloading the latest updates. Earlier tonight I noticed that the scan had been running for about 21 hours. I just looked and it is still running but it reports that the scan has been running for 1:58:25. Something has reset the scan clock. I have a 160GB HD, Computer mgt reports that the drive is 142GB with 19GB free. I have WinXP Pro 32x installed with all the latest updates. The scan is now in the Windows folder thus I assume it is very near the end of the scan.

jgt1942 Posted December 22, 2008 I had 4.22.1014 installed but I thought I had downloaded the latest code. I ran the scan on 12/20 and "I thought" I had checked for updates before running but the log says I had 4.22.1014 installed. I now have 4.23.0.1066 (this is what I see on the help screen but on your website I see the version as 4.23.1066 - which is correct?
Pandato Posted December 22, 2008 You have transposed the numbers, the correct version is 4.23.1006 both on the product and website.( I just rechecked it ) From where did you download? you have an altered copy!
jgt1942 Posted December 22, 2008 Small typo error on my part. On the help screen I see 4, 23, 0, 1006 which to me meant 4.23.0.1006 Per the email I received when I purchased "You may download your software from: https://www.superantispyware.com/download.html" Do you want my registration number? I purchased on 12/12/2008 at approximately 2208 Hours MST.
Pandato Posted December 22, 2008 I just checked the link in your post and there is NO zero(0) after 4.23 but .1006. Weird that you are seeing a zero there. NO do not post your reg code but submit a customer service request for assistance. Have you scanned with the updated version and did that resolve the issue? If not submit a ticket. jgt1942 Posted December 22, 2008 The "0" I see is on the help screen in the application. I've not scanned after updating to the latest version. I'll run a big scan on another system as a test. This systems has several HDs ranging from 250-GB (1 drive, this is my boot drive and two test drives - mainly empty drives), 4 1TB drives (these are about half full) and two 1.8TB RAID5 arrays (these are almost full). This system is much faster than the other system and is not my main system.
jgt1942 Posted December 23, 2008 OK I just ran a full system scan on my "big" system (see previous post for system description and below). First let me say I'm very impressed with the scan speed. The total system was scanned in less than 37 hours (this is a total of about 6TB of data, on a previous test using ZoneAlarm after several days a scan of just 1.8TB had not been completed. I was forced to terminate the scan due to a reboot requirement by another application) Based on this latest test I can confirm that the scan time display in the SAS window is being reset. I assume that when it hits 24 hours the clock is reset to zero and it starts again. The clock does show XX hours thus I had assumed that it would count up to 99 hours and 59 minutes and then reset. Based on the speed of the scan unless somebody had a very slow system (like my laptop) I doubt that a scan would take 99 hours but I've been proven wrong before. This test was run using v4.23.1006 on a WinXP Pro 32bit system with all of the updates. I have 4GB of real memory but as we know WinXP 32bit can only see 3GB. Using Msinfo32.exe I obtained the following about my system: Item Value OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600 OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Name S2 System Manufacturer MSI System Model MS-7350 System Type X86-based PC Processor x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6 Genuine Intel ~2133 Mhz BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc.
