robinb9 Posted December 5, 2008 I am still seeing this on some of my computers and my clients computers running xp sp3. There again only happens on a restart or a shut down. There is no message in event log. I am wondering when this will be fixed? robin

robinb9 Posted December 5, 2008 nope, because one of the computers that is doing it has avira premium on it in fact 3 of them have avira free or premium, the rest are avg 8.0 robin
SUPERAntiSpy Posted December 6, 2008 nope, because one of the computers that is doing it has avira premium on itin fact 3 of them have avira free or premium, the rest are avg 8.0 robin Ok, let me put this in more general terms....it sounds like one of the other security products is not allowing us to end our own process. robinb9 Posted December 7, 2008 well that is not good, how do you fix this?put something in to force superantispyware end btw i notice superantispyware is the last one to leave the taskbar, the rest are gone robin I guess the real question is why are the other products preventing an application from existing? Got me, you are the expert, you are suppose to figure it out install avg 8.0 free or avira free and run it for a few days with superantispyware free or pro and see if it happens, then you hopefully can figure out why they are not allowing superantispyware to end task. What bothers me is superantispyware is not the only one on the taskbar, how could you say it is the antivirus program? some of my clients have hp icon for their printer, some have all kinds of stuff there. How do you know one of them are doing it? or maybe superantispyware is doing it? unless you test it there- how are you gonna know? and also it is not every computer the 0ne I am on right now has lots of stuff in the taskbar and it doesn't end task there robin
