Rea-ltime protection

Recommended Posts

To enable real-time protection, does SAS need to be set to start with Windows? I have real-time protection enabled but not Windows start and nothing appears to be running.... or does it run as a service?

Also, any known issues running alongside Kaspersky 2009 Internet Security? Kasperskys forums told me not to!

Hello.

Yes, SAS Pro needs to start to with Windows for real time protection.

Also, many run SAS Pro along side Kaspersky with no issue. (Can you post a link to that thread)?

Is there any noticeable slowdown? I assume both KIS and SAS are fighting to scan the same files, surely adding to running times?

I kind of feel my system is slower with both but I'm not sure if thats just because I expect it to be slower!!

SAS's real time protection consumes very little resources. Unless there is another issue, you won't notice any significant system degradation caused by SAS.

With that being said, note that you will notice a slow down when scanning...as you would with any scanner.
