Lusitano Posted September 25, 2008 Why SAS asks for reboot to delete a simple cookie? I don't understand why the software asks for reboot to remove cookies or memory inactive files.
Seth Posted September 25, 2008 I don't think you have the latest version, as it won't ask for a reboot on detection of cookies.
robinb9 Posted September 25, 2008 well the same thing just happened to me on a clients machine today. I did a full scan and all they had were cookies. they have 4.21.1004 Pro version which is the latest version. I was surprised it asked for a reboot Did a latest update do this? they are running xp home media center sp3 robin
Seth Posted September 25, 2008 Interesting. I was under the impression that no reboot was required for cookies in the latest version, but according to the release history here: https://www.superantispyware.com/product ... NTISPYWARE ...that may not be the case for ALL cookies. EG: Reboot when cookies are detected in certain cases resolved, reboot is no longer required
Lusitano Posted September 25, 2008 I am using latest version (4.21.1004 Professional) with latest definitions, and it always ask to reboot when cookies are detected

Seth Posted September 26, 2008 Robin, When I install SAS Pro, I always uncheck tracking cookies. Are you doing the same? Why or why not? Lusitano, I'm waiting for the "big guy" to respond.
