SAS in task manager

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I'm experimenting with the free version of SAS to use a promotional tool.

In "Preferences", if I disable SAS from starting at startup, task manager still shows an SAS entry consuming about 20,000K of memory. Why?

NOTE: Home page protection is disabled and there is no SAS entry in msconfig's startup.

My apologies SirJon. I had a "Duh!" moment.

As long as SAS is preferenced to not start at startup, then there is no SAS entry in Task Manager.

What happened is, I have SAS set to not start, but I'd forgotten that I opened it earlier. As such, the SAS icon was in the system tray, but I overlooked it.

Thanks for clarifying - that makes sense. If SAS is not set to run on startup, it won't be showing in the Task Manager, unless you start it :)
