Program Freeze up

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have just begun yesterday to use Superantispyware Pro.

I have noted: -

(1) that although Real Time Protection is selected there is no indication that the same is running.

(2) I use Avast Antivirus and I have discovered that Avast has recently added a new feature namely antispyware to its arsenal.

(3) When I bootup any attempt to use any of my programs causes my system to freeze up and I have to reset the system.

(4) I had to disable Superantispyware from the startup menue, start internet explorer 7 and then things work right.

My questions are: -

(1) Could there be a conflict between avast and superantispyware running together?

(2) How do I know that Real Time Protection is running;

(3) Whats the best probable way to configure superantispyware so that I would not experience further freeze ups.

I run Windows XP SP2, a 80 gb hard drive with a 20 gb drive which is used for storage of photos and music.

Thanking you for your advice and comments in advance with a view to solving this problem.

Hello Nick,

I followed all the instructions for the diagnostic to be done on or about 18th May 2008.

I shall be grateful to receive some feed back with respect to your findings.

Perhaps due to pressure of work this was inadvertently overlooked.

Your attention will oblige.

Hello Nick & SUPERAntispyware Team,

Thank you so much for your time, patience and expertise.

After corresponding with you through the forum and customer service I have a really good understanding about your program and how it should be configured. I am not very savy with the intricate matters concerning computers and programs but I learn pretty quickly.

I do herewith compliment you and you team for providing the computer world with a program that seems to me to be a must have.

Again thank you and best regards.

I shall however be watching around the forum to pick up tips and tricks.
