brad Posted May 6, 2008 Hi, Can anyone help please? Within the last week or so whenever i run a full deep scan it is taking up to 6 hours and over to finish the scan. Never had this problem before and as far as i know i have not altered anything or any programmes. Also when i scan i have no other programmes open. Someone mentioned i could have .dll files in my system at fault. And god knows if i know what they are. By the way i have uninstalled and reinstalled twice but still takes for ever to scan. I have newest version of FREE SuperAntiSpyware. And I am on windows xp sp2. Thanks.
Lasse88 Posted May 6, 2008 As far i remember i read somewhere on the forum it was a proplem with DDA (Direct Disk Access) try and turn DDA off and scan igain. If it doesnt help enable DDA igain, and wait for some professional help You can turn off DDA in preferences --> scanning control.
